Walker & Son’s Construction is a family owned and operated small business that specializes in outstanding customer service and quality craftsmanship. Our multi-generation construction experience dates back 40+ years in the roofing industry. We bring an expanse of knowledge, experience, and passion that is unmatched in the roofing industry today.

Nico Walker

Nico Walker started his roofing career in 2008 as a field tech. By 2011 Nico had worked his way up the chain to a crew foreman where his responsibilities included running leaks, making repairs, and full fledged roofing projects at places like Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. 

By mid-2015 Nico had proved himself a valuable asset in the industry and was now a project manager for high profile commercial roofing projects like the Pacer’s Training Facility in downtown Indianapolis and Old Forester Distillery in downtown Louisville, KY. Nico continued on as a director of a service and maintenance department where he acted as a salesman, project manager, and superintendent simultaneously. 

Looking forward to the next move, Nico saw a trend of new roofing companies with very little to possibly even no experience in the industry bombarding the residential market. 

Nico decided it was time to start his own business and help his community by providing the high standard of quality and professionalism the local roofing industry was missing.

Mike Walker

Mike Walker began working in the construction trades in 1979 as summer labor for a local contractor. After leaving Ball State University in 1985, Mike started working year round in the construction trades doing all types of construction. 

Mike became an estimator and project manager in 1991 and in 1998 started working for a local commercial roofing contractor in Fishers estimating and managing projects of all sizes. Mike made a move to a new commercial roofing contractor out of Indianapolis in 2003 as an estimator and project manager selling projects and managing them from start to finish. 

Later he was entrusted to lead the way with developing a new OSHA compliant safety program to help the compony adapt to the changing construction industry. After demonstrating his abilities to analyze the evolving industry and stay ahead of the competition in this particular aspect, Director of Safety was added to his list of

titles. 

Mike also gained more diverse experience when he took on the role of Director of Service and Maintenance. Mike has had an upper management position in large roofing companies for over two decades now and decided in 2019 it was time to take the next step. 

Mike and Nico started Walker & Son’s Construction, LLC where Mike oversees administrative duties along with estimating projects. He brings his many years of experience to help with providing the highest quality projects that we can provide.
